The Forms Master
Liu teaches:
Chinese
traditional martial arts are centuries old mind-body exercises
that lead to improved physical conditioning and well-being, as
well as heightened mental concentration and focus. their
practice improves memory, mood, balance, and strength.
Master Liu teaches
a Northern Shaolin Kungfu style called Liuhe Fanzi. this is a
hard or external style and is suitable for both children and
adults. His appearance is dramatic and acrobatic, and develops a
complex sense of timing and technique.
Weapons; Master
Liu teaches swords, spear, staff, and
ba gua deer hooks.

Tai Chi Chuan is a
soft or internal style that is characterized by slow, precise,
connected movement coordinated with one's breathing or qi (life
force). Master Liu teaches Yang, Chen, Wu and Sun styles, each
of which has distinctive characteristics. He also teaches Wudang
Tai Chi which is a separate martial art and has its roots in Tai
Chi, Ba Gua, Xing Yi, and Shaoling Kungfu.
Liuhebafa or
"water boxing" is an internal martial art that is practiced to
promote physical health and is characterized by movements that
are both high and low, fast and slow, and works the body and
attention in 360 degrees of awareness.
Ba Gua Zhang and
Xing Yi Quan are two complimentary martial arts often taught
together. In Ba Gua, the forms are usually performed walking in
a circle with a flat foot, with one's focus on defending onesef
from attacks coming from all directions. In weekend workshops
during 2008, Master Liu will teach 64 Palm Straight Ba Gua, done
in straight lines and with a special emphasis on fighting
applications.
Xing Yi Quan
translates approximately to Shape/Mind Boxing and is
characterized by seemingly simple movements and explosive power.
The five fists exercises are the foundation for building speed,
power, breathing, and stamina. The practice of Xing Yi Quan is
designed to develop and deepen a martial artist's skill and
understanding of Chinese Kung Fu.

A Trip to China with Master Liu Xiao
Ling
Master Liu Xiao Ling is organizing a group trip to China this fall. It covers most major must-see tourist sights and includes interesting places not usually covered by regular tours. In addition to the common sightseeing destinations, Master Liu will take the group to places of significance in traditional Chinese Martial Arts and meet and have exchanges with practitioners in China . He will also teach the Five Animal Frolics Qigong and Tai Chi movements at no extra charge during the trip! This is an ideal way to see and experience China at an incredibly reasonable price, and most of all, a rare opportunity to learn authentic Qigong from Master Liu.
Please see the attached Itinerary. Click here for a PDF of the Full Itinerary. If you have any questions or would like additional details about the trip, please contact Angie at gallery500@yahoo.com, or 240-888-9899
